Most private schools use theses dates but occasionally terms at private schools do differ by a day or two. For term dates in following years the link below shows details

Public schools (government run) are subject to small tuition fees & a book list is supplied each term for parents to purchase stationery & books. Popular public schools are in demand & you often need to be in the catchment area. If you want your child to go to a particular school you need to check which suburbs fall in their area.

Private schools (also known as independent or non government) are popular here with fees being far more affordable than in the UK. Fees start from approximately $1800. Most Independent Schools are associated with religious institutions but due to the high standard of education are in great demand they often require you to register interest before your children are going to Kindy.

Many schools in Perth offer scholarships if your children excel in certain aspects of their lives including sport & the curriculum has lots to offer especially for High School students.

If your children need to go to TAFE (College) there are lots of courses on offer & the Universities in Perth have a good reputation. Most people who wish to go to University stay at school and take TEE (Tertiary Entrance Exams) from these exams they obtain their TER (Tertiary Entrance Rank) a score of 0-100 in the rankings each University has different scores required for different courses
